Chicken Parmesian from Olive Garden

This is what I had for lunch yesterday:

That's it. One slab of chicken over 20 strands of spaghetti for $15? The taste? Not something you can't find at a pizza place that sells Chicken Parmesian.
I should say a pro of today's lunch though: we had unlimited garlic bread, which was super delicious and came with the lunch combo along with their house salad.

I've been to Olive Garden in the past and I've had good experiences, just not this time. Probably not the best place for lunch and not the best choice to get the Chicken Parmesian with Spaghetti. Stay away.

Blue Berry Yogurt Cronut

Took a couple of hours to hangout with my bf on Christmas Eve and had cravings for sweets.

Since I was in  Korea town, NYC I decided to stop by Paris Baguette again to introduce to my bo some deliciousness:

A Blue Berry Yogurt Cronut. It's fruity compared to the vanilla one which makes it slightly less creamy. It has a flaky crunchy outer layer. The layer was a bit hard to bite apart, but I wasn't sure if it's bc we got it late in the day so it got stale  (it was abt 6pm). Nonetheless, the taste itself was really good. Not too sweet and also not fruity tarty like many fruit filled cakes. In conclusion, it has a smooth filling, covered by a slightly crunchy outerlayer that's just right.

P.S. As you can see I can't resist coming to Paris Baguette and not getting my new favorite Iced Green Tea Latte to go with it. They really do make the best of it.

Sunrise Mart

Winter Break, days with the bf.

Filled ourselves with our nostalgic, nyc favorite, hang out food after a morning matinee of The Hunger Games: The Mocking Jay, Part One.

My dish: Gyu-do- beef bowl with  white rice, onions, and Japanese sauce. It was really good, but not as juicy as the now closed down Yoshinoya, which used to make it with white wine or Mitsuwa, in NJ. Nonetheless, it will do in terms of its midtown location.

My bf: Katsu Don- as I am not the biggest fan of it it taste the same where ever lol. And my boyfriend did not complain abt it. It was good and I was able to taste the pork that are fried at just the right amt and flavored with a good amt of sauce. I would like more eggs however, but that may just be my bias.

To Share (top right): Takoyaki- didn't have the amusing living-like garnish, but I like it's not-overly-salty taste (which is usually the case ). In the middle you see a good piece of squid (many times you're not sure whether takoyaki's have any inside)

Georgetown (DC) Cupcakes

Visited the original Georgetown Cupcakes in Georgetown, D.C. it was packed with a line wrapping around the store!

I had the White Chocolate Peppermint flavor. What a perfect match of one of my favorite flavor topped with the holiday minty peppermint. It was so good my friend and I was scratching crumps off the cupcake paper!

Shake Shack, Starbucks, & Paris Baguette

A reunion hang out with high school friends-- is always one of the best time you've had when all we did was talk during delicious meals.

First stop Starbuck to warm is up with a Chestnut Praline Latte.

It was my second time having it. The taste was  like a blend of creamy vanilla with chestnut powder, but not overly sweet like Carmel (I am unsure what ingredients they really use ). It definitely tasted better at the 44the and 6th Avenue cafe than the one I had on Astor Place.

Along with our holiday drink, I ordered the Shack Burger at Shake Shack. Delicious and juicy. A preferred place for a fast food burger craving, made better.

Snack stop? Paris Baguette
My new go to place for Green Tea Lattes. It was  the most creamy Iced Green Tea Lattes I've had. I had to let all my friends try some and they loved it.

Water For Chocolate

A celebratory lunch (on 12/12/14) for our last day of our first semester of clinicals at Johns Hopkins Hospital with JHUSON.

We ate at Water For Chocolate, a fairly new restaurant that is growing rapidly popular in Baltimore. The food here is it's original, mostly made by the chef himself.

Breakfast Burrito with Pork and Chai latte
both very delicious and unique. Try them yourself.

Crabs and Mallets

My first experience eating crabs with a mallet for my boyfriends birthday in Baltimore, Maryland, a state known for their crabs.

Ordered 4 crabs each and it took abt 3 crabs to figure how to eat the last one more rapidly. The crabs were deliciously crabby. The con, overdose of Old Bay seasoning created an intense saltiness on the shell of the crab.

Otherwise, it was a fun and delicious experience.

Restaurant: Canton Dockside

Ramen Burger with Thai Ice Tea

Had this over Thanksgiving break (2014).

I was deeply in love with the Thai Ice Tea. It was a unique blend of rich creamy flavor with a stimulating amount of sweetness on top of tea. Haven't found one better that this.

As for the Ramen Burger, it was good. It was very greasy. The meat was a lone standing taste of a good deal of effort seasoning it. Otherwise, not much else and not my mouths best friend.
