Winter Break, days with the bf.
Filled ourselves with our nostalgic, nyc favorite, hang out food after a morning matinee of The Hunger Games: The Mocking Jay, Part One.
My dish: Gyu-do- beef bowl with white rice, onions, and Japanese sauce. It was really good, but not as juicy as the now closed down Yoshinoya, which used to make it with white wine or Mitsuwa, in NJ. Nonetheless, it will do in terms of its midtown location.
My bf: Katsu Don- as I am not the biggest fan of it it taste the same where ever lol. And my boyfriend did not complain abt it. It was good and I was able to taste the pork that are fried at just the right amt and flavored with a good amt of sauce. I would like more eggs however, but that may just be my bias.
To Share (top right): Takoyaki- didn't have the amusing living-like garnish, but I like it's not-overly-salty taste (which is usually the case ). In the middle you see a good piece of squid (many times you're not sure whether takoyaki's have any inside)
